Women as Fans
A good example of what Diane Railton (2001) describes as ‘the feminine, physical and emotional response of early 1960’s pop fans’ (324). Maybe one of the reasons why women were constructed as fans rather than rock musicians?

Thats very true that women are thought more of fans or groupies for example the movie ‘Almost Famous’ Kate Hudson plays a groupie to a traveling all male band, it reinforces to audiences that women are not rockers they are groupies/fans.
